Call for papers
HP-MICCAI 2010, the second International Workshop on High Performance Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention, featured at MICCAI 2010, will be held in September 2010 in Beijing, China. Papers on computational methods, systems and applications will focus on topics including but not limited to multi-core/multiprocessor and other parallel or high performance computing platform based algorithms for HP image processing, segmentation, registration, reconstruction, rendering and visualization for time critical applications in clinical environments, such as high-throughput image screening, image-assisted surgery, cancer treatment, clinical decision-making and multimedia data fusion and analytics. Papers of theory, systems and applications are called on topics including but not limited to- multi-core,GPU, and massively multi-core algorithms for image-assisted clinical applications
- high-performance medical image analytics
- high performance image segmentation, registration and tracking
- high-throughput image-assited medical simulation, modeling, and training;
- fast 3D reconstruction
- interactive and real-time 3D rendering and visualization
- high-throughput medical image-assisted disease screening
- fast indexing and retrieval from very large medical image databases
- real time multimedia data fusion and analytics for clinical decision making
- out-of-core medical image processing
- distributed, grid and cloud computing for medical imaging

- Authors should prepare their manuscripts according to the standard LNCS format specified at the Springer site.
- The maximum number of pages is 10.
- Paper will be reviewed single-blind by the members of the program committee.
- Dual submissions to the main MICCAI conference are not allowed, but papers not accepted by the main MICCAI conference can be submitted to this workshop for review.
- Papers accepted for presentation will be included in the Workshop Proceedings to be distributed at the conference to those who register for HP-MICCAI2010 workshop.
- Selected workshop contributors will be invited to submit an extended version of their papers to a special journal issue.
